About the event
Massimiliano Caprara is a renowned actor, director, and essayist based in Rome. He has starred in various films, notably and currently appearing as a main supporting role in the 5 season hit Italian series "Vice questore Rocco Schiavone."
Caprara has worked with esteemed directors such as Giorgio Diritti, Michele Soavi, and Joe Wright. His insightful books on theatre and acting are highly regarded in prestigious universities like Harvard, Yale, and Columbia.
¨'The hidden drama' serves as a means for the actor to dissapear and allow the camera to capture the inner world of characters. By exploring ourselves and attempting to hide our passions, we can achieve "the werfremdungs effect," which amplifies our intentions while we simultaneously try to conceal them. This effect allows the camera to act on our behalf, making the spectator the true protagonist of our acting through the most important mechanism the scenic arts: identification.
