BIGOLI PICTURES: ORIGIN STORY
Bigoli Pictures began as a story of passion, perseverance, and pasta. It all started in the Veneto region of Northern Italy, where our founders, Edward and Jerome, were deep into pre-production for their first feature film. With a micro-budget and big ambitions, they found themselves surviving almost entirely on Bigoli—a local pasta that became both their sustenance and symbol of resilience.
The film, originally titled String Theory, evolved into what is now Bigoli Bang, a dystopian sci-fi narrative about time-traveling migrants disrupting the balance of our modern world. To make this project a reality, Edward and Jerome & Dave worked with a dedicated crew of 20 people, feeding everyone on Bigoli pasta generously donated by local manufacturers. It was a production built not just on hard work, but on the support of the local community.
The spirit of Bigoli—simple, unpretentious, and essential—reflects our approach to filmmaking. We believe in telling bold, innovative stories with authenticity, using whatever resources we have to create something impactful. Since our humble beginnings in Northern Italy, we’ve grown into a dynamic production company with international reach, yet our ethos remains the same: to craft films that challenge, provoke, and connect people.
At Bigoli Pictures, our journey is as much about the stories we tell as it is about the people who make them possible. From small beginnings, fueled by pasta and passion, we continue to expand our creative horizons, building a community of filmmakers, actors, and dreamers dedicated to pushing the boundaries of cinema. Welcome to our story—where every frame is a labor of love, and every project is a shared adventure.
